Chemical Research Division
Chemical Research Division conducts R & D works in the different field of Natural and Synthetic chemistry. This division is the largest Division of BCSIR Laboratories Dhaka. It consists of eight different research sections: Chemical from Indigenous Sources, Fine organic chemicals research sections, Gum and adhesive, Analytical carbohydrate, Applied carbohydrate, Essential oil, soap and detergent, Chemical industrial waste and Industrial inorganic chemical, and Industrial organic chemical research. Scientists of this division are also engaged to provide analytical services to the public and private to ascertain the quality of the imported raw and finished products and many of the different indigenous industrial products for their quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC). The scientists also supervise the research work of M Sc, MS, M Phil and Ph D student’s thesis of different universities.
